Ef hunnuh whan kno de tru ting bout who wi da, disya dey whey hunnuh pos ta ax! Thank you for coming to the Gullah/Geechee Nation to learn from us that are authentic Gullah/Geechee people and the native keepers of our culture. If you would like to visit, purchase products including books and tapes, do research or attend our events, please send us an e-mail or letter.

Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation is the selected and elected official head-of-state, liasion, and spokesperson for Gullah/Geechee people. We are international recognized as a nation. Our homeland boundaries are from Jacksonville, North Carolina to Jacksonville, Florida off the coast of North America. Our nation encompasses the Sea Islands and 30 to 35 miles inland of the Lowcountry and northeast Florida. We are the living link to Africa on this side of the Middle Passage.

Queen Quet can be reached through our office. The Wisdom Circle Council of Elders and the Assembly of Representatives members for each area of the Gullah/Geechee Nation can be reached here as well.

We believe as our Queen Mother states:

"Hunnuh mus tek cyare de root fa heal de tree."

We celebrate healing our roots and keeping our culture alive via our annual events which include the July Gullah/Geechee Reunion at Sullivan's Island and the Gullah/Geechee Nation International Music & Movement Festival. The latter event takes place in different parts of the Gullah/Geechee Nation and other areas of the African Diaspora each year. You can obtain more details on these from the links below or through the Gullah/Geechee Sea Island Coalition at GullGeeCo@aol.com.
